Performance Physical Therapist

Dr. Kelton Cullenberg has a deep understanding of the unique needs of runners and active individuals. He's the driving force behind Steady State, our new-age physical therapy clinic.

Kelton ran & nordic skied at Mt. Blue High School in Farmington, Maine - where his mother was his coach. He continued his career at the University of Maine, graduating with an Exercise Science degree in 2014 as a 3-time America East 5k champion. His journey in the world of physical therapy began at a young age as he had numerous physical therapy himself to help him get over various running injuries.

During his time in PT school at the University of New England, Kelton had the incredible opportunity to work alongside renowned doctors AJ and Wes Gregg at Hypo2 Chiropractic in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was there that he discovered the true value of personalized rehabilitation for runners.

After graduating in 2017 he spent 3.5 years in a high volume, insurance based orthopedic & sports PT clinic - where he learned how challenging it is to provide great care to people when operating under the many restrictions of insurance companies.

With his lifelong running passion, Kelton set out on his own in 2020 to create Steady State - with a mission of providing runners & active people the ultimate healthcare experience, while blending the lines between rehab & coaching.

When he's not at Steady State, you'll often find Kelton running the roads, trails, tracks, and mountains of Maine and New Hampshire. Running has always been more than just a hobby for him; it's an outlet for stress and a way to channel his competitive spirit.

He shares a love for all types of recreation with his wife Ashten, including backcountry skiing, Nordic skiing, crossfit, hiking, camping, paddling, and climbing. And when he's stuck indoors, Kelton enjoys playing the guitar and reading books on running, business, and personal development.
